Ana Guevara

Ana Guevara ( Ana Gabriela Guevara Espinoza, born March 4, 1977 in Nogales, Sonora ) is a Mexican track and field athlete.

Guevara dominated since the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, the 400 - meter distance with the ladies like their Central American colleague Félix Sánchez from the Dominican Republic in the men's 400m hurdles. In 2002, she won all twelve races in which she started. Together with Felix Sanchez she won the 2001 Golden League.

In Sydney in 2000 she was fifth at the Olympic Games. The next major event they already saw as a bronze medalist of the World Athletics Championships in 2001 in Edmonton. The race at the World Championships in Paris in 2003 she won with her superior personal record of 48.89 s

At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she was one of the favorites for the gold medal, but had to settle after a thrilling final battle with the silver medal. Olympic champion was Tonique Williams-Darling of the Bahamas.

At the 2005 World Championships she won bronze at the 2007 World Championships, she finished fourth.

She has a competition weight of 61 kg at a height of 1.73 m.
