Ana Isabel Alonso

Ana Isabel Alonso ( Alonso Ana Isabel Nieto; born August 16, 1963 in Villaherreros, Palencia ) is a former Spanish long-distance runner.

National title she won seven times in cross country ( 1984, 1985, 1987-1990, 1999), twice more than 3000 m (1983 and 1987 ), once over 5000 m ( 1984), four times the 10,000 m (1985, 1988, 1991 and 1994), once in the half marathon (1999 ) and twice in cross country (1992 and 1994).

At the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome she came over 10,000 m to 19th place. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 she left the same distance in the flow.

In the 1990s, they increasingly turned to the road race.
