Ana Mendieta

Ana Mendieta (* November 18, 1948 Havana, Cuba, † September 8, 1985 in New York, NY) was an American performance artist. It was in 1961, sent to the United States as part of Operation Peter Pan, with 13 years of their parents, grew up in an orphanage, graduated from the University of Iowa in 1972 and led its first performances on.
