Ana Vidović

Ana Vidovic ( born November 8, 1980 in Karlovac ) is a Croatian classical guitarist.

Life

Vidovic comes from a very musical family and began at the age of 5 years to play the guitar. When she took up at age 13 to study with Istvan Romer at the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb, she had already completed international performances. 1998, at age 18, she completed her studies in Zagreb and was invited by Manuel Barrueco, continue to study at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore. She graduated in 2003 from the age of 23 years.

Vidovic has won numerous guitar competitions, including the Albert Augustine International Competition in Bath, the Concorso Internazionale di chitarra " Fernando Sor " in Rome and the 1998 Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Francesc Tarrega in Benicàssim. It occurs worldwide and has completed by its own account since 1988, already more than a thousand public appearances.

Their first recordings published Vidovic 1994. A focus of the recordings is compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach and Federico Moreno Torroba.
