Anaco

Anaco is a city in the province of Anzoategui in Venezuela.

The city was founded over 40 years ago. It is located near the natural gas field of El Tigre and lives mainly of the state-owned oil industry, PDVSA. The deposits in this area are the largest in Latin America and shape the economic orientation of the region prevail.

Had Anaco 1981 only about 44,000 inhabitants, so there were already 117 605 2005, almost three times as much. It is connected to the transport network through the highway from El Tigre to Barcelona. In addition Anaco has an airport.
