Anais Granofsky

Anais Granofsky ( born May 14, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actress, film director, screenwriter and film producer.

Life and achievements

Anais Granofsky has an African American mother and a Russian- Jewish- Canadian father. She is the elder sister of actress Lea - Helen Weir. From the age of nine, she played the role of Lucy Fernandez in the television series Degrassi Junior High. 1990 Granofsky was nominated together with others for this series at the Young Artist Award. A small supporting role as office workers, she embodied in the thriller Deceived (1991 ) by director Damian Harris starring Goldie Hawn in the lead role. In order to learn the craft of directing and screenwriting, she attended for four years, the New York University and then returned to Toronto. In the dramatic spy series Nikita Granofsky was seen in eight episodes of the first two seasons as Carla. She was the neighbor and friend of the main character, played by Peta Wilson, before Carla's true identity as an agent came to light. A smaller supporting role had Granofsky in the film comedy Three to Tango (1999) with Matthew Perry. Early in her career she appeared mainly in television series. In recent years, she had preferred as film director, screenwriter and film producer in independent films.
