Analytic Network Process
The term Analytic Network Process and Analytical Network Process ( ANP) refers to a technique for solving multicriteria decision problems under certainty and conduct of forecasts. Situations in which the ANP can be used are, for example, choosing a car to buy or the prognosis of market shares of companies.
General description of the ANP
The ANP was developed by the mathematician Thomas L. Saaty and represents a further development of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP ) dar. In contrast to the AHP, in which the criteria are arranged in a hierarchy, the ANP allows the creation of decision networks.
