Anant Kumar

Anant Kumar ( born September 28, 1969 in Motihari / Bihar ) is a German writer of Indian origin. He lives in Kassel.

Life

The son of an Indian family of teachers from Bihar studied from 1991 to 1998 at the University of Kassel ( GHK ) German Studies and graduated with a thesis on Alfred Döblin's epic Manas from.

In his literature Kumar tried the experience of a stranger in German society to connect with the Indian culture. His first wife stranger, stranger characterized by sharp-tongued observations and mediating understanding. The aspect of the observing satire and fine gloss runs as a constant on through Kumar's work. With his work Zeru - A seven-day history Kumar should look to the literary form of the epic, and describes in a colorful splendor of the daily life of an African boy in the midst of wild and ancient myths of the dark continent.

Anant Kumar is a member of the Association of German Writers and the Literary Society Hesse. For several years, Kumar occurs regularly at schools and correctional facilities. At the North American universities and in the EU Kumar regularly conducts writing workshops and poetry workshops.
