Anasol

Anasol ( born November 5, 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina as Anasol Escobar ) is a Colombian pop singer and songwriter of Argentine descent.

Life and work

Anasol was born in Buenos Aires, but grew up with her parents in the Colombian capital Bogota on. At the age of 15, she began writing her own songs. After high school, she began studying music at the Universidad Javeriana. In 1999, she released her first solo album. Three years later her second studio album Astros, produced by Luis Fernando Ochoa, who has also worked with Shakira and Ricky Martin. The album was a great success at home and reached # 1 on the Colombian charts. Their third album Anasol appeared in 2005 and was also able to say at the top of the charts. The single release reached Sentimiento addition also # 1 on the Mexican charts and # 31 on the U.S. Billboard Latin Pop Airplay charts.

In 2010 she played the lead role in the Colombian telenovela Yo no te pido la luna.
