Anastasia Rodionova

Anastasia Rodionova Ivanovna (Russian Анастасия Ивановна Родионова; born May 12, 1982 in Tambov, Soviet Union) is a Russian-born tennis player who competes for Australia since 2008.

Career

The daughter of a tennis coach and a housewife preferred the game from the baseline, her favorite pastime is playing on grass. Her sister Arina is also a professional tennis player.

In 1998, she won her first singles title in Minsk on the ITF Women's Circuit, followed in 2001 where the first doubles title. Overall, it comes at ITF tournaments so far to eight tournament victories in singles and 13 in doubles.

2003 reached Rodionova also the mixed- finals of Wimbledon, where she defeated with partner Andy Ram against Martina Navratilova and Leander Paes 3:6, 3:6.

At the 2010 Commonwealth Games she won the gold medal in singles and doubles as well as the silver medal in the mixed doubles.

On the WTA Tour Rodionova may yet show only tournament victories in doubles. The first victory she succeeded in 2005 with Jelena Wesnina the tournament in Québec, Canada. Another could in Estoril celebrate with Andreea Vanc Ehritt - 2007. The third title win was followed in June 2010 in Hertogenbosch where she defeated in the final at the side of Alla Kudrjawzewa Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova in three sets. The fourth title it secured in February 2012 on the side of Sania Mirza in Pattaya. Double Track number five, she won in January 2013 in Auckland along with Cara Black of Zimbabwe. In Québec, it was in September of the same year a second time successfully on the side of Kudrjawzewa, a third time in January 2014 in Brisbane.
