Anatole de Baudot

Anatole de Baudot ( born October 14, 1834 in Sarrebourg, † February 28, 1915 in Paris) was a French architect, architectural historian and restorer.

Anatole de Baudot studied with Henri Labrouste and Viollet -le- Duc. From 1879 to 1914 he was President of the Commission des monuments historiques, 1887-1915 and professor of architectural history. He used in the construction of the Paris church of Saint- Jean de Montmartre (1894-1904) first reinforced concrete for a religious building. He restored the Castle of Blois and the cathedrals of Puy and Clermont.
