Anatoliy Kinakh

Anatoly Kyrylowytsch Kinakh (Ukrainian Анатолій Кирилович Кінах, scientific transliteration Anatoly Kinakh Kyrylovyč; * August 4, 1954 in Bratuseni in Rajon Edineţ, Moldova) is a Ukrainian politician.

He is also the chairman of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine ( PPPU ) and was Prime Minister of Ukraine from 2001 to 2002.

Career

Kinakh comes from the Ukrainian village populated Bratuseni in Moldova and studied in Leningrad Naval construction; In 1978, he left the Institute as a naval architect. From 1978 to 1992 he worked in shipyards in Tallinn (until 1981 ) and Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine, from its beginnings as Dockvorarbeiter to the production manager. In 1990 he was nominated by the workers of his yard as a delegate and elected to the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament. There he was active in the Commission for economic reforms and in the Department of Economics. In his time as an MP, new laws were developed to businesses and property and adopted.

1992 Kinakh sent as presidential spokesman and chief administrator in the Mykolaiv Oblast and elected Chairman of the Oblastparlaments two years later. 1995 to 1996 he held the office of Deputy Prime Minister in matters of industrial policy; in addition, he was Advisor to the President in 1996 for the industrial sector and chairman of the Ukrainian- Japanese Economic Commission.

1997 was chosen Kinakh chairman of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs ( USPP ). He also appeared in numerous industry committees within and outside Parliament operates, including the Committee on economic reforms, investment promotion, against the financial crisis, tax reform, and others. In July 1997 he was appointed to the Economic Council of the President as Chairman of the Interministerial Commission for the privatization of strategic industries.

From September to December 1999 was Kinakh deputy prime minister. After the subsequent reign of Viktor Yushchenko and his resignation after a no-confidence vote on 29 May 2001 he was appointed by President Leonid Kuchma as his successor in the office of Prime Minister of Ukraine. Kinachs was succeeded in November 2002 Viktor Yanukovych.

In the parliamentary elections in the spring of 2002 ( За єдину Україну ) was Kinakh for the government block " For united Ukraine" re-elected as an MP in parliament, but would have to sacrifice his post as head of government. He therefore dispensed with his parliamentary seat. Since December 2002 Kinakh Chairman of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine ( PPPU ). Kinakh received in August 2004, the Order of Yaroslav the Wise ( 5th place ). In 2004 he competed in the first round of presidential elections as a candidate, reaching 0.93 percent in sixth place among the 24 candidates. During the so-called Orange Revolution, according to the run-off elections, he supported the opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko.

On 4 February 2005, the Parliament confirmed his appointment as First Deputy Prime Minister in the government of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. After the parliamentary elections of 2006 he changed the political landscape and came on 21 March 2007 as Minister of Economic Affairs in the Government Yanukovych one. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007, he came across a list of the Party of Regions in the Verkhovna Rada.

Kinakh is married and has three daughters.
