Anatoly Kolesov

Anatoly Ivanovich Kolesov (Russian Анатолий Иванович Колесов; born January 18, 1938 Ossakarowka, Karaganda, † January 2, 2012 in Moscow) was a Soviet wrestler. He was Olympic champion in 1964 in Tokyo and three-time world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling in the welterweight division.

Career

Anatoly Kolesov, a Russian, grew up in Kazakhstan. He came from a sports family and himself began at a young age with the gymnastics. Early on he showed a talent for wrestling, in which he focused soon.
