Anatoly Liberman

Anatoly Liberman ( born March 10, 1937 in Leningrad ) is a Russian- American anglistischer, germanistischer and skandinavistischer linguist and medievalist. He is Professor of German and Germanic Philology at the University of Minnesota.

After graduation in 1954 Liberman studied at the Pedagogical Institute in Leningrad Hertzen 1954-1959 German and English by the state exam for German, English and Education. From 1962 to 1965 at the University of Leningrad English and Germanic Philology, 1962, he earned his master's degree in English and Germanic languages.
