Anaximander (crater)

Anaximander is an impact crater on the moon on the northwestern edge of the moon 's front panel. Located just south of Carpenter and northeast of Pythagoras. The crater wall is severely eroded, especially the northwestern and the southeastern part is almost entirely leveled.

The crater was named in 1935 by the IAU pre-Socratic philosopher Anaximander after.
