Ancellotta

The red variety Ancellotta is cultivated mainly in the regions of Emilia -Romagna and Lombardy. Admitted she is also in Piedmont ( in Vercelli), Veneto, Friuli, Tuscany and Sardinia. To the west of Switzerland, there are smaller deposits, also here the color-rich variety is used almost exclusively and in small amounts as a blending partner.

It provides a dark colored, fruity and low-acid wines, which are excellent for blending. It is often used because of their deeply colored wines as a dyer grape. In addition, dark grape juice is very fruity from her won. It is contained in red and rosé wines of the DOC wines Colli di Faenza, Colli di Rimini, Lambrusco Reggiano Reggiano Rosso.
