Anchor Brewing Company

Anchor Brewing Company is an American manufacturer of alcoholic beverages, which operates a brewery and distillery in the Potrero Hill neighborhood in San Francisco, California. The products are exported worldwide in 49 countries, including Germany and Switzerland.

History

1860-1960

The mid- 1860s began the German immigrant Otto Schinkel and Ernst F. Baruth, beer at a handful of local restaurants and bars to sell, which they produced in a brewery plant in San Francisco in the Pacific Avenue between Larkin Street and Hyde Street.
