Ancient Diocese of Bazas

The diocese Bazas (Latin: Dioecesis Vasatensis ) was a location in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Bazas.

History

The diocese Bazas was built between the 1st and 3rd centuries. It was divided into three Archidiakonate.

On November 29, 1801, Diocese Bazas was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the dioceses of Agen and Aire and the Archdiocese of Bordeaux.
