Ancient Diocese of Cavaillon

The diocese of Cavaillon (Latin Dioecesis Cavallicensis ) is a former Roman Catholic diocese in France, located in the town of Cavaillon. It has existed since the 5th century and belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Avignon since 1475. With the Concordat of 1801, the diocese Cavaillon was disbanded and incorporated into the Archdiocese of Avignon.

On 16 February 2009, the diocese of Cavaillon was rebuilt as a titular Cavaillon.
