Ancient Diocese of Saint-Malo
The Diocese of Saint- Malo (Latin: Dioecesis Macloviensis ) was located in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Saint- Malo.
History
The Diocese of Saint- Malo was built in the 6th or 7th century as a diocese Aleth. First bishop was Aaron. In 1146 the bishopric of Aleth was moved to Saint- Malo.
On 29 November 1801, the diocese of Saint- Malo was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was the bishoprics of Rennes, Saint- Brieuc and Vannes affiliated.
The Diocese of Saint- Malo was the Archdiocese of Tours is a suffragan.
