The ruins Andělská Hora ( German Angel Castle ) is located in Andělská Hora Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic in Okres. It is located southeast of Karlovy Vary.

History

The Castel Sant'Angelo was built in the late 14th century by the Lords of Giant Castle, including the castle and lordship Petschau possessed. Your first written record comes from the year 1402, when it was owned by the Boreš / Borso of Giant Castle ( Boreš z Oseka ). In 1406 they came to Ulrich Zajíc Hasenburg ( Oldrich Zajíc Házmburka ), after his death in 1414 at the latest to the royal chamber. 1430, the castle was occupied by the Hussite Jakob von Wrzessowitz, who undertook conquests by Elbogen, Eger and Bavaria from here. From 1434 the dilapidated castle to the imperial chancellor, Kaspar Schlick was pledged that prompted its repair.

1461 pledged King George of Podiebrad the castle to Zbynko Zajíc Hasenburg ( Zbynek Zajíc Házmburka ), 1463 to the royal chamberlain Johann von Steinbach. In 1467 it was conquered by Henry II of Plauen, who could argue there only for a year. 1480 succeeded Henry III. from Plauen to occupy the Castel Sant'Angelo again. He built from the castle to the temporary residence of the viscount of Plauen. In 1567 it was owned by the Lobkowicz Niklas hate stone. After the Battle of White Mountain in 1621 it was confiscated by the emperor and given to the Count Hermann Czernin of Chudenitz. In the Thirty Years ' War the castle was occupied by the Swedes in 1635. After that she was no longer regularly inhabited. After a fire in 1718 it was not rebuilt. Owner of the ruins is the community Andělská Hora.
