Anders Björner
Anders Björner ( born December 17, 1947) is a Swedish mathematician who deals with algebraic and topological combinatorics. He is a professor at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Björner 1979 at Bernt Lindström, Stockholm University PhD ( Studies in homological and combinatorial order theory ).
He was in the 1980s, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In 1983 he was awarded the George Pólya Prize with Paul Seymour. Since 1999 he is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
He was (until 2010) director of the Mittag-Leffler Institute and editor of Acta Mathematica.
His doctoral include Günter M. Ziegler and Jürgen Richter - Gebert.
