Anders Fridén

Anders Fridén ( born March 25, 1973 in Gothenburg ) is a singer of the Swedish metal band In Flames. He was also a singer of the metal bands Passenger and Dark Tranquillity.

Career

Anders Fridén was originally the vocalist of Dark Tranquillity, but which he later left and moved to In Flames. Furthermore, Friden was a member of the band Ceremonial Oath, in which also the former In Flames guitarist Jesper played Strömblad. He was also a singer of the alternative metal band Passenger.

From the album The Jester Race Anders Friden is the main songwriter of the texts of In Flames. On the older albums like Lunar Strain wrote Dark Tranquillity guitarist Niklas Sundin the lyrics. Later Sundin Fridén helped translate the texts from Swedish into English. From the album Clayman writes Fridén the texts independently.

Incidentally, Anders also a producer, including for the German metalcore band Caliban and the Swedish melodic death metal band Angel.

Anders Fridén lives with his girlfriend Helena Lindsjö, with whom he has two children.
