Anders Palmér

Unlike Palmér ( born April 24, 1960) is a Swedish former football player. The midfielder, who aground 1983-1987 in twelve appearances for the Swedish national team won with Malmö FF each twice the Swedish championship and the national cup.

Career

The son of longtime Italy experts Karl -Erik Palmér began as a ten year old playing football at Malmö FF, where his father had begun his career, and was subsequently the individual youth teams of the club. In the season of 1980 he was appointed to the cadre of antretenden in Allsvenskan men's team. Although initially mainly a reserve player, he moved to the winter break 1981/82 on loan to the North American and Canadian clubs NASL Vancouver Whitecaps.

After his return to Malmö FF in early 1982 to Palmér established under coach Keith Blunt on the side of Roland Andersson, Björn Nilsson, Roy Andersson and Thomas Sjöberg in stem formation and was also under his successor Tord Grip over long distances to the regulars. In 1983 he became also an international player under coach Lars Arnesson he made his debut in November 's 5-0 win against the national team of Trinidad and Tobago. A year later he won the club the first title. At 1-0 playoff victory in the cup final against second division side Landskrona BoIS he came on in the 65th minute for the game Mats Arvidsson. Despite winning the title, the club brought before the season in 1985 with a new coach Roy Hodgson. Under his leadership, the club dominated the league, which he finished five times in a row as the leader. However, only in the seasons 1986 and 1988 the team was also successful in the Championship play-offs and won the title back to Skåne. 1986 brought the team also the double, in a 2-1 win over IFK Gothenburg in the cup final scored Palmér the hit to the final score. However, towards the end of the 1980s he increasingly came into second place. In particular, Joakim Nilsson, Stefan Schwarz and Jonas Thern displaced him from his ancestral position in the midfield. Hodgson therefore presented him a change of club and close to the Cup Championship 1989 - Djurgårdens IF was defeated in the final with a 3-0 win - he was not, therefore, on the field.

Palmér changed in early 1990 to regional rival Trelleborg FF in the second division. With the team he reached under coach Tom Prahl in the autumn series the Kvalsvenskan the Premiership season in 1991 and rose as the runner- up in the Allsvenskan. In the following spring series, he surprised on the side of lilies Mats Berg, Leif Engqvist Jan Möller and Patrik Larsson in third place, with a fourth place in the Autumn Cup, the club narrowly missed out on the European Cup. In the following two seasons, he missed a match, before he trailed off his career from 1995 unterklassig.

2002 Palmér returned as an assistant coach Tom Prahl to Malmö FF, but left the club after two seasons. Again he moved to Trelleborg FF, where he served on the side of Lasse Larsson as an assistant to Conny Karlsson. In 2006 he took a post as a parallel youth coach at Malmö FF and was coach of the amateur association MF Pelister. While the young in 2007 brought in collaboration with Tore Cervin to the Swedish championship, he led the amateur club with three ascents to 2009 in the fifth league, before the fall of the year he announced the end of his engagement there. In early 2011 he moved again to the assistant coach at Malmö FF, as Roland Nilsson's previous assistant Josep Clotet Ruiz was replaced as head coach for Halmstad BK.
