Anders Samuelsen

Anders Samuelsen ( born August 1, 1967 in Horsens ) is a Danish politician and Member of the Folketing for the party Liberal Alliance.

Education and work

1993 Samuelsen received a master's degree in political science at the University of Aarhus. He was an employee of the Treasury. From 1994 to 1998 he worked as a consultant and head of department at the school for the deaf Castberggård. Since 2003 he has been president of the Association of voluntary rescue readiness.

Policy

During the period from 1998 to 2004, he was Det Radical Venstre deputy in the Folketing. Then he moved to the European Parliament. On 7 May 2007 Samuelsen founded together with MEP Gitte Seeberg and the Folketing Member Naser Khader, the liberal- conservative party New Alliance ( The New Alliance ). Since November 13, 2007 Samuelsen represents the party in the Folketing as a deputy. On 27 August 2008, the party changed its name and has since been known Liberal Alliance. After turbulent early years Samuelsen is currently the undisputed leader of the neo-liberals.
