Anderson Silva de França

Anderson Silva de França ( born August 28, 1982 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian footballer who currently is under contract at Everton, but is on loan at Barnsley FC.

Anderson began his career in Chile in Santiago Wanderers. His performance there earned him a contract with the Spanish side Racing Santander. At the beginning of the season 2005/ 06 he moved to rather successful time at Racing Santander to Everton in the English Premier League.

Once a work permit has been granted to him in England, Everton loaned him out to FC Málaga for six months, which were later extended to a whole season because he was not allowed to work again. Everton decided to wait until he is entitled to a Spanish passport. Later this Spanish passport he was granted so that he can work through the EU directives now in England and play.

Anderson debuted in the English League on 15 April 2007 in a 2-1 win against Charlton Athletic, where he came off the bench two minutes left in the game for Mikel Arteta. He signed a new one year contract in the summer of 2007.
