Andersson (crater)

13:42

Andersson is an impact crater on the southern hemisphere of the moon back. It is located just behind the southwestern edge of the visible from Earth range and can be observed in favorable libration. However, he is only seen from the side. It accompanies a low range of hills, which extends to the north. The nearest crater of importance is the crater Guthnick in north- northeasterly direction.

Andersson is bowl -shaped and has a small central crater bottom. His margin shows no signs of erosion.

It is easily confused with the much larger crater Anderson by the similarity of the name.
