Andorra national rugby union team

The Andorran rugby union team represents the Pyrenean principality of Andorra in the Rugby Union. Currently, the team plays in Division 2B of the European Nations Cup. The team is classified as a national of the third category by the International Rugby Board (IRB ).

History

Andorra played his first international match against Luxembourg on 1 July 1987. It ended with a narrow 24:18 win.

Since 1995 the team also occurs regularly in the qualification for the Rugby Union World Cup. So far, you always failed in one of the qualifying rounds. 1995 would retire despite a balanced balance sheet from a win and a loss in the European pre-qualification. In 1999 he was urged to the 2nd qualifying round before, in 2003, the team had already failed in the first round, 2007, it reached at least the third round, where they were but a chance against the stronger European teams.
