André Filipe Bernardes Santos ( * March 2, 1989 in Sobreiro Curvo, community A dos Cunhados ) is a Portuguese football player.

Career

In the club

Santos joined the age of eleven in the youth of Sporting Lisbon. After he had signed his first professional contract with the Brussels residents in 2008, he played in the first half of the 2008/09 season on loan at the third division side CD Fátima and in the second half for the second division União Leiria. At the end of the season Santos rose with the club in the Primeira Liga on, after his loan contract was extended for another year. In the 2009/10 season, Santos came to his Erstligadebüt and missed as a regular player not a single League game. Leiria closed the season from the secured midfield. For the season 2010/11 Santos returned to Sporting. He played 42 games duty, collected with inserts in the UEFA Europa League his first experience in the European Cup and reached with his team in the championship in third place, which is authorized to re- participate in the international competition. In the following season Santos came on duty for another 25 games. Before the start of the 2012/13 season he moved on loan to the Primera División to Deportivo La Coruna.

In the National Team

Santos went through the junior national teams in his home country. For the U21 national team, he played 15 international matches. On 29 March 2011 he made his debut under coach Paulo Bento as part of a friendly match against Finland in the senior team.
