André-Damien-Ferdinand Jullien
André- Damien -Ferdinand Cardinal Jullien PSS, Andrea Jullien ( born October 25, 1882 in Pelussin, France, † January 11, 1964 in Rome, Italy ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.
Life
André Jullien received his theological and philosophical education in Paris and Rome. He received on October 1, 1905, the sacrament of Holy Orders. After further studies, he taught from 1908 to 1912 at the Seminary of Lyon. From 1912 to 1922 he worked as a personal secretary Monsignor Séraphin Many in the Roman Court. Pope John XXIII. took him in 1958 as a cardinal deacon with the title Diakonia San Giorgio in Velabro in the College of Cardinals in 1962 appointed him titular bishop of Corone and gave him a bishop. André Jullien participated in the first three sessions of the Second Vatican Council and the conclave of 1963. He died on 11 January 1964 in Rome and was buried in the local church of San Giorgio in Velabro.
