André-Georges Haudricourt

André- Georges Haudricourt (* 1911, † 1996) was a French geographer, botanist, anthropologist and linguist.

A.-G. Haudricourt spent his childhood in Picardy. He received his baccalaureate in 1928, a graduate of the National Institute for Agronomic ( National Institute of Agriculture) followed in 1931. Subsequently he studied genetics in Paris (1932) and Leningrad ( 1934-1935 ). In 1940 he took a position at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique and worked in the Department of Botany.
