André Leão

André Filipe Ribeiro Leão (born 20 May 1985 in Freamunde ) is a Portuguese football player. Currently playing the attacking midfielder in the Portuguese Super League with FC Paços de Ferreira.



Leão started his career with his hometown club SC Freamunde in the Liga de Honra, the second highest league in Portugal. In 2005, he joined the second team of FC Porto. In 2006 he joined free transfer to SC Beira -Mar in the Portuguese Super Liga. On 17 September 2006 he made ​​his debut in the Super League when he came off the bench in a 2-0 win against CF Estrela Amadora for Luciano Ratinho in 76 minutes. In 2007, Leão changed hands for 500,000 euros in the Romanian Liga 1 to CFR Cluj. On 1 August 2007 he made his debut in Liga 1, when he came off the bench in the 1-0 win against Otelul Galati for Emmanuel Culio in 72 minutes. In January 2010, Cluj was known to have given Leão free transfer to FC Paços de Ferreira.
