André Muff

André Muff ( born January 28, 1981 in Emmen ) is a former Swiss football player and current football coach.

Career

Muff began his career with the SC Emmen. In summer 1997 he left Emmen and moved to the B- youth of the Grasshopper Club Zurich. In Zurich he was promoted in the summer of 1999 to the first team of Grasshopper Club Zurich and played in his first season 7 games. It was followed a year later, the change from Grasshoppers to FC Basel. In Basel, he did not come beyond the reserve player and played in 16 games before he went on loan to FC Lugano in spring 2001. After his return, he played one more season with the base learning, before he went on loan to FC Luzern in the summer of 2002. Muff played in 20 games on loan at Lucerne and scored 7 goals, before he returned in May 2003 for FC Basel. In July 2003 he left then the FC Basel and finally moved to FC Zurich, where he remained for only one season. In the summer of 2004, he returned to Grasshopper Club Zurich and played two seasons for the Zurich. In the summer of 2006 he returned to Basel to sign for city rivals FC Concordia Basel. He finished in June 2009 at Concordia Basel in the Challenge League his professional career and moved back to his youth club SC Emmen. In the summer of 2011, he ended his playing career.

Muff was the end of the 90s as the largest Swiss striker talent, but was then thrown back from injury. His best phase had Muff at the beginning of his career with Grasshoppers and beginning of the era Lucien Favre at FC Zurich. Muff shot in 117 Super League games 49 results.

Muff played two A- caps for the Swiss national football team.

Coaching career

Since the summer of 2011, he is the coach of the first team of FC Emmen.
