André Rankel

André Rankels ( born August 27, 1985 in West Berlin) is a German ice hockey player ( striker ) who plays in the German Ice Hockey League for the polar bear in Berlin since 2003.

Career

André Rankels began his career in his hometown at the then Berlin Capitals, where he was the 2000/01 first used in the German junior league DNL. After two years he spent exclusively in the DNL, the attacker gained the 2002/ 03 first experience in the professional team of Capitals in the Regionalliga. For 2003/ 04 the links Sagittarius moved to local rivals the Capitals, the polar bear Berlin, where he has since been mainly used in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. But meantime he also collected in the second team of the polar bear experience in the big leagues.

Internationally

In the U-18 World Cup 2003 Rankels came to his first tournament use for a German national team. Also for the junior national team he played regularly, including, inter alia at the World Championships in 2004 and 2005, with him to the team back in the Bundesliga in the A group in 2004. Since 2006, he also belongs to the extended squad of A- Team.
