Andre Savage

Andre Ronald Savage ( born May 27, 1975 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played until 2010 for the Nuremberg Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Savage began his professional career in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, a league in the play mode of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, at Michigan Technological University. There, the Center played an important role and was often one of the best scorers on points in his team.

After four years in Michigan, the Boston Bruins were on the right hand shooters attentive and committed him in 1998. The Bruins, however, Savage came mainly in the farm team, the Providence Bruins, are used. Overall, the Canadian was three years at the franchise from Boston and came at the end of 50 NHL games for the Bruins, where he was able to achieve 21 points scorer. After a brief stint at the Manitoba Moose of the attackers pulled the 2002/03 season to the Philadelphia Flyers, where he was also mainly used in farm team and only 16 completed games in the NHL.

In the following two years, Andre Savage changed hands three times the club. Career stations were driven again by the Providence Bruins and the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. Since a jump in the National Hockey League now appeared unlikely to Savage decided for the first time in his career with a European club to sign. From the season 2005/ 06 playing the aggressor in the second highest Swedish league, the HockeyAllsvenskan, at the Malmö Redhawks. Signed in 2006, the striker a contract with the Sinupret Ice Tigers, where he became an important part of the offensive.
