Andrea De Carlo

Andrea De Carlo ( born December 11, 1952 in Milan ) is an Italian writer.

His first big success was in 1981 published novel Cream Train ( Treno di panna ). In Italy, it quickly became the best-selling author. De Carlo worked as a photographer and a rock musician, and later as an assistant to Federico Fellini, before he became a writer. He has written numerous novels, which have sold more than five million copies and has been translated into twenty languages. De Carlo is closely involved in the Greenpeace campaign " Scrittori per le foreste " ( writer for tropical forests ). He lives in Rome, Milan and in the countryside near Urbino.

De Carlo was also active as a painter and filmmaker; be 1988 Treno di panna even fabricated at its own screenplay based on his novel. As early as 1983 he had worked as an assistant director for Federico Fellini.
