Andrea Jaeger

She began her tennis career at age 14 and was with wins over Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova quickly the number 2 in the world. A serious shoulder injury at the age of 19 years finished her tennis career. The highlights of her career was reaching the finals of the French Open in 1982 and the British Tennis Championships 1983 in Wimbledon, they both lost to Martina Navratilova.

After her tennis career, she went to college and studied theology. After her studies she founded in 1990 the Silver Lining Foundation, which has set itself the objective to support young cancer patients.

Among the supporters of her foundation include such prominent individuals such as John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Kevin Costner and Cindy Crawford.

On September 16, 2006 she became Sister Andrea, nun of the Anglican- Dominican church.
