Andrea Morricone
Andrea Morricone ( born October 10, 1964 in Rome, Italy ) is an Italian composer.
Biography
Andrea Morricone is the son of Ennio Morricone Italian composer and brother of film director and script writer Giovanni Morricone. His musical career started under the guidance of his father. Later he studied from 1994 to 1996 under the guidance of Irma Ravinale, Ada Gentile and Ivan Vandor at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome. He then studied composition in 1998 once again at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. From 1996 to 1998 he was artistic director of the Istituto Massimiliano Massimo of the auditorium.
As a film composer, he started with his father with the music to Cinema Paradiso the page. Both were in 1991 awarded a British Academy Film Award for Best Film Music.
