Andrea Palma

Andrea Palma ( * 1644 or 1664 in Trapani, † 1730 in Palermo ) was an Italian architect. He was a major representative of the Sicilian Baroque.

Palma had in Palermo, where he was architect of the Senate (1707 ) and the Chiesa dell'Olivella. His works include the renovation and expansion ( begun 1728, completed 1753), the Cathedral of Santa Maria delle Colonne in Syracuse, the Chiesa di Santa Maria di Montevergini and the Chiesa di San Gioacchino.

His nephew and pupil was Nicolò Palma.
