Andreas Bauer (ski jumper)

Andreas Bauer ( born January 21, 1964 in Oberstdorf ) is a former German ski jumper and is the current head coach of the Ski Jumping World Cup women's team.

Career

On December 30, 1980, he made ​​his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup and reached when jumping in his home Oberstdorf the 71st place. On January 1, 1982, he was the first to jump to the 3rd place on the podium in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. After another good jump, he finished the 1981/82 season in 10th place in the overall World Cup standings. At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, he reached the 11th place on the normal hill and the 7th place on the large hill. On January 1, 1987, he achieved his greatest success with victory in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. In 1992 he ended his ski jumping career.

He was assistant to Reinhard Hess. He currently serves on the SC 1906 Oberstdorf and was national coach at the Nordic combined, ski jumping responsible for. Since the season 2011/2012 he is responsible for the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup women's team as head coach.
