Andreas Brecke

Andreas Bang Brecke ( born September 14, 1879 in Fredrikstad, Østfold, † June 13, 1952 in Oslo) was a Norwegian sailor and Olympic athletes of the Olympic Games of Stockholm and Antwerp.

Brecke in 1912 with the Norwegian boat typhoon Olympic champion in the 8 meter class. The boat's crew consisted of Brecke, Thoralf Glad, Thomas Aas, Thorleiv Corneliussen and Christian Jebe. In this competition, there were seven boats, two from Finland, two Russian and two Swedish, only one from Norway. Typhoon won in 1912 both passages on 20 and 22 July on the coast before Nynäshamn.

Eight years later, he was for the second time Olympic sailing. This time he won with the boat Jo in the 6 meter class.
