Andreas Bredau

Andreas Bredau ( born March 21, 1984 in Burg, near Magdeburg ) is a German Bobsportler which is active as a brakeman.

Life

Andreas Bredau began his career in 2005 as a winter athlete, after he had previously discus thrower. In 2002 he had been set at the federal police. In the World Cup 2007, he took two second places in the two-man bob. He also won a gold medal at the Junior World Championships in 2010 with the pilot Manuel Machata in the four-man event. In the two-man bob, the two took second place. Six times, won the 1.97m wide Bredau as brakeman in the Intercontinental. At the Olympics 2010 he was a brakeman in the four-man Karl Angerer. Bredau replaced Alexander Roediger, who had previously changed the team a long time. As of March 2010 Bredau will be at the bob in Oberhof check its suitability to the pilot. For the 2010/11 season Bredau joined the pilot Manuel Machata of Bob. With this he won his first World Cup race in the two- to kick off the season in Whistler.
