Andreas Eigner

Andreas owner ( Johann Andreas owner, * August 5, 1801 in Dietldorf / Oberpfalz (now Burglengenfeld ); † November 18, 1870 in Augsburg) was a restorer and conservator in Augsburg.

Life

Owner was born in Dietldorf as the son of a railway station and landowner. He studied medicine in Regensburg, Amberg and Landshut, the study but did not finish. In Munich, he met George of Dillis, the then director of the Collection of Paintings know. Here he worked his way - probably as a self-taught - in the art of Restaurierens and was employed in the construction of the Pinakothek in Munich and at work in the Munich Residenz.

Work

In June 1829, he went from Munich to Augsburg in 1830 and restorer at the Royal Gallery of Augsburg. 1832 he was appointed inspector as the successor of Johann Georg Gündter 1836 then the Conservator. There are few reports concerning his work, he restored including the Burgkmair frescoes at the Maximilian Museum in Augsburg, wall paintings in Hellbrunn / Austria and Mr. Hausen near Hanover. In 1862 he married Barbara Schorer and had two children with her. Andreas owner died on November 18, 1870 in Augsburg.
