Andreas Engqvist

Andreas Engqvist ( born December 23, 1987 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who stands in June 2012 in Atlant Mytischtschi in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Andreas Engqvist began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Spånga IS, for the first team, he was active from 2003 to 2005 in the fourth division Division 2. He then moved to Djurgårdens IF, for the first team he from 2005 to 2010 in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, ran aground. He was then ordered by the Canadiens de Montréal, where he had received a three-year contract in July 2009, the 2010/11 season to North America. There he played in his first year but almost exclusively on Montreal's farm team in Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League, while he played only three games in the National Hockey League for the Canadiens.

The 2011/12 season began Engqvist in the NHL team the Canadiens de Montréal, before he was sent end of October 2011 to the farm team to the Hamilton Bulldogs again.

Internationally

For Sweden Engqvist participated in the 2010 World Cup, where he won the bronze medal with his team.
