Andreas Hajek

Andreas Hajek ( born April 16, 1968 in Weissenfels ) is a multiple Olympic and world champion in rowing.

The Olympic champion 1992, 1996 Olympic bronze medalist in quadruple sculls and quadruple sculls in 2000 ended his athletic career in 2004 and is now owner of a bicycle specialty store Hajek cycling in Halle / Saale.

Hajek took part also in 1988 for the GDR as a substitute in the Olympic Games in Seoul. In 1985, he won the Junior World Cup as 17- year-old in one of the gold medal.

He trained a lot with Thomas Lange. His athletic successful time he had with his rowing colleagues André Steiner, Andre Willms and Stephan Volkert, with whom he won the World Championships and Olympic Games over ten years at a stretch medals.
