Andreas Henzen

Andreas Henzen ( born January 1, 1955 in Visp ) is a Swiss painter and graphic artist in St. German, Canton Valais.

He attended elementary schools in Baltschieder and Visp, then the teacher training college in Sion and taught as a primary school teacher in Baltschieder. 1983-1988 he studied at the Cantonal School of Design in Sion, diploma in painting and illustration, and has been drawing teacher in Visp. He is mainly active as a freelance painter, illustrator and cartoonist. His paintings are non-figurative, often structured forms and individual colors. Also designed by him unterbächer commemorative sculpture shows his aspiration for aesthetic harmony of forms.

In 1991, he also Alfred Grünwald - price, are rewarded with the Oberwalliser artists. Henzen is president of the Society of Swiss Painters, sculptors, architects ( GSMBA, the first artist association of Switzerland, founded in 1865 ).
