Andreas Heraf

Andreas Heraf ( born September 10, 1967 in Vienna ) is a retired Austrian football player. The defensive midfielder came eleven times in the Austrian national football team used.

Since ending his active career, he has worked as a trainer. Since July 2008 he is team leader of the Austrian U20 national team.

Football career

The Wiener began his career at Graphia Vienna, an association of Viennese league. Even with eleven years moved to the youth department of the SK Rapid Wien, where he went through all year classes. Heraf managed directly from the offspring to jump into the first team of the Green-Whites and signed 18 -year-old in 1985 his first contract as a professional football player.

After nearly ten years at the most successful club he joined in 1988, First Vienna FC 1894, where he won a regular place of beginning. In summer 1991 Heraf was committed by the SV Austria Salzburg, but where he could not make friends, which is why he moved from the Mozart city dwellers after only half a year to SK Vorwärts Steyr.

In January 1994 Heraf was 96 for the 2nd Bundesliga obligation of Hanover, where he was again not happy. After this half season with the Lower Saxony he returned in the summer of 1994 back to Austria. The then long-haired defensive midfielder moved to his first place of activity for SK Rapid Wien. From 1999 to 2003 he played for FC Kärnten, where he ended his active career as a football player.

Heraf participated in the Football World Cup 1998 in part in France, but was not used by team boss Herbert Prohaska. Overall, he played eleven caps for the Austrian national football team, scoring one goal. He made his debut in 1996 against Hungary in Budapest.

Coaching career

The first coach station by Andreas Heraf, the already abolished the UEFA A license with distinction during his active footballer career in 1997, was Austria Lustenau 2003-2005. At the beginning of the 2005/2006 season coached Heraf SC Swan City. As of January 2006, he trained for three Bundesliga matches the ASKO Traun, where he however with the team and the club management not klarkam and was replaced by Dietmar Constantini in March. As of early September 2006, he coached again SC Swan City before moving to SC -ESV Parndorf in autumn 2007. In the spring he was replaced by Johann Dihanich.

Since July 2008, Heraf coach of the Austrian U20 selection and also in the OFB Responsible for promoting young talent and the academies.

Furthermore actuates Andy Heraf as a commentator for the TV channel Sky Austria (formerly Premiere ), where he is responsible for the matches of the First Division.

Private

Andy Heraf, who completed his education with the AHS Matura and besides German nor English, French, Italian and Spanish speaks, is divorced and lives in a community with Birgit. He is the father of a daughter ( Jeanine, * 1993) and a son (Robin, * 2001).
