Andreas Hykade
Andreas Hykade ( * 1968 in Altötting ) is a German animated film director who successfully invents cartoons for adults, but also children with his ideas and images and produces. His best known works are videos for the German band Die Toten Hosen to the songs Ten little hunters and election campaign and the series Tom and strawberry jam bread with honey, but also his short films are running successfully on the global Animation Festival ( We lived in the grass, Ring of Fire ). The musical composition of his animated film Love & Theft was awarded in 2010 at the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart animation with the Special Prize for Music. Hykade is a regular guest at the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart and enriched it with numerous film presentations and supporting program points.
The Bavarian artist found after studying at the Film Academy Baden- Württemberg, a professional home in the renowned Stuttgart "Studio film images ", which accompanied him creative and technical production for most projects. From 2005 to 2010 he was professor at the School of Art Kassel. Since then he has taught at the Film Academy Baden- Wuerttemberg. In 2006 he finished the excellent with the German Short Film Award short film The Runt, in which he handled his own experiences and feelings.
Since 2008 Hykade has been a professor at Harvard University.
