Andreas Lundstedt

Andreas Lundstedt ( born May 20, 1972 in Björn Helge Andreas Knivsta as ) is a Swedish pop singer and musical performer who can prove particularly as a member of the pop group Alcazar great musical successes.

Life

Since his childhood Andreas Lundstedt had the desire to be a singer. At the age of five he participated in a talent competition for children and was awarded second place. From the age of fifteen, he performed regularly as a member of the band Stage Four children on television. In 1999 he was a founding member of the Swedish pop group Alcazar successful. Lundstedt is openly gay and entertained at times a relationship with Magnus Carlsson. The European breakthrough for the group in 2001 with the hit single Crying at the Discoteque. Even during his membership with Andreas Lundstedt Alcazar started some solo projects. So he brought out four of his own singles and an album. He also took roles in the musical Grease, Chicago and Saturday Night Fever.

In a much-publicized interview with Swedish magazine QX of 19 December 2007, Andreas Lundstedt reported for the first time publicly about his HIV infection. Lundstedt wanted to break with this step taboo to talk about this disease related to the music industry and give the disease a face.

Euro Vision Song Contest

Andreas Lundstedt has already tried several times to participate for Sweden at the Euro Vision Song Contest. In the first two experiments he performed as a solo artist, and finished with Driver dagg faller regn (1996 ) and the second in 1997 with Jag saknar dig, jag saknar dig the seventh place of the Swedish preliminary decision. 2003 and 2005, he participated as a member of Alcazar and took it with Not a Sinner Not a Saint (2003) and Alcastar (2005) is ranked No. of Swedish Trials. In 2007 he went to the Melodifestivalen with the written by himself and Johan Rohr Move title, but failed in the very first round. On February 7, 2009 Alcazar took in its new configuration part in the first preliminary round of Melodifestivalen 2009 and reached entitled Stay the Night directly to the final. There they finally occupied fifth place. In consequence they took part in Melodifestivalen again, but this time only managed the leap into the "second - chance " round, where they lost Jessica Andersson. As a soloist Lundstedt 2012 took Aldrig aldrig to date the last time at the music festival part, but failed in the semis.
