Andreas Mand

Andreas Mand ( born December 14, 1959 in Duisburg ) is a German writer of contemporary literature and playwright.

Life

Andreas Mand was born the son of a pastor. He attended the spruce -Gymnasium Krefeld, afterwards studied Media Studies at the University of Osnabrück and graduated with a Master 's degree. After that he lived some time in Berlin and in Minden.

Work

Andreas Mand 1982 published his first book " skin. A school essay. " His later works are mostly novels, in which the generic name is always interpreted loosely. The (anti) hero of the debut, Paul Schade, is also the focus of other books, in the order given time: " Small Town Heroes" (1996 ), "The Red Boat " (1994), " Paul and the Beat Machine" (2006) and "Father Child " (2001).

The main characters of the unfinished series are teenagers and young adults. During the time of origin Mand still counted himself to age group and also avoided any later pedagogical note.

The novels Mands appeared mostly in independent publishers. Details of the adventurous publication history can be partly seen them himself. Mand became known for his novel Childhood " Grovers invention " (1990), later expanded to include " Grover on the Lake" (1992). " The Dream of the pastry chef " (1992) is an assembled from historical source material, yet novelistic study of a reciter. " Internal unrest " (1984), " Peng said. Film narrative "(1994) and" Bad Bedtime Story "(2005) are experimental books.
